About Our Story
African Children’s Foundation Organization (ACFO) is a national nonprofit civil society organization founded by internally displaced persons in 2014 and officially registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission under registration Number 4368. The Foundation areas of operation in the ten states including Central Equatoria State as its country head office. ACFO aims to improve Research Advocacy and dissemination of information on children’s rights to inclusive quality education by eliminate all forms of discrimination against children including access to affordable technical Vocational and higher education system for Sustainable development.
To achieve Food Security; improved nutrition through a sustainable agriculture by doubling the productivity and income trends of small-scale food producers to end all forms of malnutrition through a sustainable food production and resilient agricultural practices.
Environmental protection programs and Sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. ACFO engages in providing safe and affordable drinking water, end open defecation through supporting local engagement in water and sanitation management. To end deforestation in the country, ACFO shall promote Climate justice to restore degraded forest and substantially increases afforestation.

Promote well-being and healthy lives through prevention of communicable diseases, reduce mortality from non-communicable diseases and mental health disorders. Streamline access to sexual reproductive care, family planning and sex education. The four thematic areas are supported by crosscutting issues such as Gender Equity. We oath to empower women on equal participation in leadership decision making process, especially policies on the elimination of early, forced marriages and genital mutilation.

We enlighten and protect children from sharp objects around the environment, explosive materials, armed forced recruitment, end early child marriage, Family separation during crisis, Protecting children from sexual abuses and exploitation. We channel our focus on partnership with public sector, private sector and civil society group to improve children’s health, nutrition, education and protection. Our individual supporters help by donating, volunteering or being advocates for children and young people in their communities.
Our mission is to champion in nurturing young children to discover their talents to become future leaders through advocating for their rights against racism, discrimination, poverty and adjust healthy environment.
